We recently compared five of the more popular golf travel covers. These included the Bag Boy T-1000 and T-10, the Cleveland Golf Deluxe Travel Cover, The Club Glove Burst Proof Bag (with wheels) and the Taylor Made Travel Cover.
While any of these travel covers would work just fine for most of us, we needed to pick a winner. We based our criteria on price, padding, shoe pockets, sturdiness of the base, what length of club will fit within, the dimension, weight and the factory warranty.
Based on these criteria, the Club Glove Burst Proof Bag (with wheels) ranked #1 in our testing. Although it was the most expensive at $169.95, the material, fit, finish and overall durability of this bag left no question, that this was the one. With a lifetime warranty, you can feel comfortable that this bag is going to last for decades – without putting your golf clubs and gear in jeopardy. The molded plastic bottom is extremely sturdy, and you can basically hit it with a hammer without it breaking or cracking (yes, we tried!)
Coming in at #2 was the Bag Boy T-1000 Travel Cover. This is a brand new offering from Bag Boy and it is top notch. We really like how nice and organized the inside pockets are – perfect for the anally retentive among us!
There were really no losers here; we simply felt that if you travel with your clubs four or more times a year, then the Club Glove would be the product for you. And most touring golf pros agree, as Club Glove is the number one choice for the PGA pros.
